Basti Therapy

Basti Therapy
Basti is one of the five main cleansing therapies in Panchakarma and is considered the most important treatment for balancing Vata dosha.
It involves introducing medicated decoctions, oils, or ghee into the rectum through the anus.
This method directly nourishes, lubricates, and detoxifies the colon while balancing the whole body.
In Ayurveda, Basti is sometimes referred to as “Ardha Chikitsa” (half of the total treatment) because of its wide range of benefits, especially for chronic disorders.
