Netra Tarpana Therapy

Netra Tarpana Therapy
Netra Tarpana is a classical Ayurvedic eye rejuvenation therapy in which medicated ghee (clarified butter infused with herbs) is retained over the eyes for a specific period of time.
The term “Netra” means eye, and “Tarpana” means nourishment.
This therapy is mainly used to strengthen the eyes, improve vision, reduce eye strain, and prevent eye diseases.
It is especially beneficial for people who work long hours on computers or experience frequent dryness, irritation, or fatigue in the eyes.
Types of Netra Tarpana
Rejuvenative (Rasayana) Netra Tarpana – For improving overall eye health and preventing vision deterioration.
Therapeutic Netra Tarpana – For managing specific eye conditions like dryness, burning, or strain.
Preventive Netra Tarpana – For people exposed to high visual stress (students, IT professionals, drivers).
How it Works
A dough ring made from black gram or wheat flour is placed around the eyes to form a reservoir.
Lukewarm medicated ghee is poured into the ring until the eyes are completely immersed.
The ghee penetrates into deeper ocular tissues, nourishing and lubricating them.
Herbal properties reduce oxidative stress, strengthen eye muscles, and improve tear film stability
