Abgyanga Therapy

Abgyanga Therapy

Abhyanga is a traditional Ayurvedic full-body oil massage performed with warm, medicated herbal oils.
It is a key part of daily Ayurvedic self-care as well as Panchakarma therapy.
The oil is selected based on a person’s dosha type (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) and health condition.
The massage helps nourish the body, improve circulation, remove toxins, and calm the mind.

Types of Abgyanga Therapy

  • Self-Abhyanga – Performed by the individual at home as part of daily routine.

  • Therapeutic Abhyanga – Performed by trained Ayurvedic therapists for health benefits.

  • Synchronised Abhyanga (Four-Hand Massage) – Two therapists work in harmony for deeper relaxation.

  • Partial Abhyanga – Focuses on specific body parts (e.g., head, feet, back).
